What is hypnosis?

Hypnosis is first and foremost a natural state. We all have the natural ability to access this state.

Far from being a relaxation method, hypnosis is a method of action. It's all about paying attention to inner feelings. It's a way of connect with your inner resources and learn how to respond to your own problems.

Hypnosis enables you to develop a new perception of given situations or in your relationships with yourself, others and the world around you.

It also helps you get to know yourself and develop your inner resources. This work helps to develop a strong sense of inner security and self-esteem, overcome emotions, live in the present moment, explore letting go, and better communicate and relate to others.

During a hypnosis session, the hypnotherapist will stimulate the patient's natural ability to enter a hypnotic state and enable him or her to return to it autonomously by learning self-hypnosis.

Hypnosis invites you to become the artist of your life, to develop yourself by getting to know your deepest nature. It's a veritable art of daily living.

What is the hypnotic state?

We've all experienced a novel as an escape, or a suspension in time as we contemplate the movement of the waves, and so on. In short, everyone has experienced an altered state of consciousness (different from the usual waking state).

The hypnotic state is precisely that moment of consciousness when things are perceived differently. Since the second half of the 90s, this state has been identified and characterized by brain imaging (functional MRI and PET-Scan), attesting to its real existence. Scientifically, we can now affirm that the hypnotic state is a reality.

To put oneself in a state of hypnosis, or to practice hypnosis with a practitioner, is to intentionally reproduce this state of consciousness with an objective that varies according to the context in question (relaxation, care, personal development).

As the hypnotic state is the reproduction of a natural, spontaneous state, everyone can access it, but not necessarily in the same way.

On the other hand, learning the method and repeating it regularly will enable you to enter hypnosis with increasing ease and speed: like a sport, the more you practice, the more you progress!
