Life can be challenging. Our daily lives or the events in our lives (health diagnosis, death of a loved one, separation, stages of life...) can provoke strong emotions that we wish we could manage.

Keeping a peaceful mind and a certain distance in all situations is not a superpower that some of us are born with. It's a skill we learn and nurture throughout our lives.

Keeping a peaceful, positive mind, staying centered, having an anchor point. These are the goals Maria aims to achieve for her students, so that they can live more serenely and cope with their difficulties.

Yoga therapy can help you learn about the flow of energy in your body, so that you can optimize it by preventing its loss and understanding how to recharge it. Through a one-to-one approach, we' ll identify new daily habits/routines that will help you improve your health and well-being.

What is therapeutic yoga?

Yoga therapy is a wellness care practice that can complement conventional treatments. Derived from yoga, it works on various physical and mental aspects (body, emotions and thoughts, which constantly interact and make up each individual).

Therapeutic yoga can be preventive, but it can also strengthen the health resources of people who are suffering. It involves taking charge of patients who have a health problem, enabling them to cope better with their situation, illness, treatment or hospitalization.

How does a first therapeutic yoga session work?

We will discuss your health issues, taking into account any diagnosis made by your doctor. This will help us to better understand what can be adapted or suggested to you.

For example: postures, breathing, meditations, lifestyle.

At the end of the session, we establish the objectives for our follow-up and you leave with the first tips to implement in your daily life.

This first session lasts an hour and a half.

How does yoga therapy work?

In yoga therapy, we work on different levels and consider that every person and every state of health is different. Consequently, we work in stages.

This means we start with the easiest, most accessible layers of imbalance, then, if the person wishes, we can go deeper and reach more subtle layers of their being.

Even for the most superficial layers, there's a process of learning new habits and unlearning old ones that will take time and motivation to implement. That's why it's not enough just to give us the keys to better health; the hardest part is changing our habits.

The first class lasts an hour and a half, with subsequent classes lasting an hour.
