What is acne?
Acne is an inflammatory skin disease.
It is characterized by the appearance ofimpurities(pimples, blackheads, pustules, comedones) on the face, upper back and sometimes chest.
It is caused by excessive sebum production by the sebaceous glands, which clogs pores, or by skin dehydration. This inflammatory disease is not serious, but depending on its intensity, it can have significant psychological repercussions.
It often affects teenagers, especially at puberty. However, adults can also be affected.
There are many different types of acne. In this article, we'll focus on juvenile acne. This is youth acne, which is characterized by the appearance of pimples, redness and blackheads.
Juvenile acne also affects adults, under the name of late-onset acne. It is mainly due to hormonal imbalance (puberty, menstruation, pregnancy, exaggerated androgen production), but can be accentuated or even persist due to genetic predisposition, diet, stress, pollution, excessive perspiration, medication or unsuitable products.
When should I consult a doctor?
The onset of severe acne, which can be characterized by extensive or deep lesions, and the risk of scarring, call for a visit to the doctor.
In cases of acne with suspected endocrine disorders (excessive hair growth, menstrual disorders, weight gain, hair loss).
But also in cases where acne appears after taking medication, or in the event of a sudden outbreak of acne lesions, with fever.
In some cases, acne can lead to a real loss of self-confidence, low self-esteem and difficulties in social relationships. It's important to be able to talk about it, and to treat your psyche (stress is also a risk factor for acne).
Traditional Chinese medicine
In traditional Chinese medicine, the skin is the mirror of the emotions.
Acne is the result of body heat, which can be caused by stress, poor emotional health, poor diet or energy imbalance.
In Chinese medicine, the organs most closely associated with acne are the liver, spleen, lungs and kidneys.
A follow-up in acupuncture can alleviate or treat acne problems. Treatment consists in reducing inflammation and inhibiting sebaceous gland secretions.
However, it's not enough to treat acne on the surface; you have to deal with the problem internally at source (diet).
The therapist can complement acupuncture treatment with Chinese pharmacopoeia. Chinese pharmacopoeia.

Naturopathic support
As we have seen, the appearance of acne can be due to various factors: age, environment, diet, hormonal cycle, emotions...
- Nutrition: This is the starting point for all naturopathy. We devote a paragraph to nutrition below.
- Emunctory drainage: A detoxification cure can be implemented to prevent clogging of the emunctory organs (liver and intestine). Plants such as artichoke, milk thistle and black radish can play an important role.
- Hormonal regulation: Hormonal disorders are common during puberty and menopause. Specific support may be required.
- Managing emotions : It's important to find the cause(s) of stress and anxiety, and put in place the necessary means to remedy them.
The naturopathy can be a great help in the management of acne.

Bioresonance support
Heal yourself naturally using your own energy.
Fatigue, coldness, weight gain, memory problems, hair loss, reduced heart rate, constipation, heavy menstruation, can all impair the body's ability to function properly, and manifest themselves in a variety of ways, including skin problems.
Energy balancing through bioresonance can help you with all these aspects, as it's a holistic approach. Depending on the results of your analysis (carried out during the 1st session), the therapist may perform :
- Work on the emunctory organs involved in eliminating toxins and waste (kidneys, liver, skin, intestines, etc.).
- Support for hormonal disorders
- Work on mental disorders (stress, fatigue, anxiety)

Lymphatic drainage support
This manual technique uses circular massages to improve lymph circulation. In the case of acne, the aim of drainage is :
- Reduce inflammation by encouraging the flow of lymphatic fluid, which can reduce the swelling and redness associated with acne.
- Eliminate toxins and other waste products that can contribute to acne.
- Improve blood circulation, and provide your skin with the nutrients and oxygen it needs.
