The power of plants for your health
Plants are veritable marvels of nature, capable of preventing and treating many everyday ailments. Phytotherapy, or herbal medicine, has always been with us to relieve, balance and prevent many everyday ailments, naturally.

Herbal medicine at Clinique Naturelle with our phytotherapist Philippe Lavigne (ASCA).
What is phytotherapy?
It's the art of using medicinal plants, in various forms, to support the body, soothe imbalances, boost immunity or accompany convalescence.
Modern phytotherapy combines traditional knowledge with current scientific data to offer personalized, effective treatments.

A therapeutic approach that has spanned the centuries
Over the centuries and across the continents, mankind has acquired knowledge of plants and their therapeutic properties. Traditional medicines (Chinese, Indian, South American, African...) are rich in experience accumulated since the earliest times.
Today, the effectiveness of herbal medicine is recognized and scientifically proven. Its undeniable health benefits and naturalness have made phytotherapy part of our daily lives.
The various forms of phytotherapy we recommend for use during a phytotherapy consultation at Clinique Naturelle
Our approach is tailored to individual needs and can include:

Mother tinctures
Mother tinctures are concentrated hydroalcoholic extracts of fresh plants, prepared from the whole plant or certain parts (roots, leaves, flowers). They extract all the plant's active ingredients and are used in small doses, often as a course of treatment lasting a few weeks. Highly effective and fast-acting, they are often prescribed to relieve an acute symptom or rebalance a deep-rooted condition.

Gemmotherapy
(bud extracts)
Gemmotherapy is a branch of phytotherapy that uses the buds and young shoots of plants, harvested in spring when all the plant's vital force is concentrated. These extracts contain the properties of the budding plant (flower, leaf, fruit), and act on the physical, emotional and energetic levels. They are used in particular to support the body's major functions (nervous, digestive and hormonal systems, etc.) and to help with chronic disorders.

Flower essences
(Bach flowers, Orchids...)
Flower essences are vibratory preparations made from flowers, created to act on emotions and states of mind. The best-known is the Bach Flower Remedies system, developed by Dr. Edward Bach in the 1930s. Today, there are other more subtle and powerful elixirs, such as those based on orchids. They are often used to help us cope better with periods of transition, ease anxiety, boost confidence or harmonize emotional imbalance.

Spagyrics
Spagyria is an alchemical approach to herbal medicine, derived from traditional European medicine. It is based on the separation, purification and reunification of the plant's three principles: body, soul and spirit (salt, mercury and sulfur). Spagyric remedies act on several levels (physical, emotional, energetic) and aim to restore the individual's overall harmony. Spagyric remedies are particularly indicated for chronic disorders, profound fatigue or imbalances in the terrain.

Plant extracts in capsules
Dry extracts are obtained by dehydrating the plant, often as a concentrated powder, and encapsulating it in capsules. This is the most practical and stable form for daily use. They are frequently used for targeted actions: digestion, sleep, immunity, circulation, etc. Easy to transport and integrate into the daily routine, capsules are ideal for prevention or as a complement to a natural treatment.

Homeopathy
Homeopathy uses infinitesimal dilutions of medicinal plants. It works according to the principle of similitude (treating evil with evil) and is particularly well tolerated. It is used in a wide variety of cases: functional disorders, stress, allergies, diffuse pain... Gentle and personalized, it can be used alone or in synergy with other forms of phytotherapy.

Oligotherapy
Oligotherapy does not use plants, but trace elements (copper, zinc, magnesium, etc.) essential to the body's proper functioning, in minute quantities. It is often combined with phytotherapy, as the two approaches complement each other. Trace elements can be used to reactivate enzymatic functions, support immunity, regulate stress, balance deficiencies or accompany chronic disorders.
Each prescription is tailored to your individual terrain, physical and emotional state, and current treatments.
