Who is psychology for?
Psychology is open to adults and couples. Each person has specific needs.
Why consult a psychologist?
Consultations with a psychologist bring a variety of benefits, depending on individual needs. Follow-up can help you to :
- Understand how you're built, how you function and your patterns (relational, family, love, sexual, mind-body)
- Finding a better life balance
- Learn to manage your emotions, such as stress, anxiety or depression, using concrete tools.
- Boost your self-esteem and self-confidence
- A better relationship with the body and feelings
- Dealing with difficulties and pain differently
- Support during life transitions
- Achieve your goals and rediscover pleasure and joy
- Refocus, learn to set limits and identify your needs
- Discover tools for coping with difficult situations: learn to identify defense mechanisms, use coping strategies and better deal with change and hardship.
- Improve your interpersonal relations: through a better understanding of yourself and others.
The aims of psychology are to promote the well-being and mental equilibrium of individuals by offering them appropriate, scientifically-based support.
Each follow-up focuses on goals tailored to the individual's needs, whether they involve overcoming an emotional difficulty, developing relationship skills, or managing periods of stress or life transition.
The psychologists are committed to creating a space of trust and listening, where everyone can explore their thoughts, emotions and behaviors to better understand themselves and strengthen their personal resources.
In this way, the approach aims not only to resolve current problems, but also to improve overall quality of life and long-term autonomy.
How does a session work?
Sessions are built around each person's unique needs and evolve at their own pace. Here's how a typical coaching session works:
- Initial contact and needs assessment
During the first sessions, the psychologist takes the time to understand the person's expectations, difficulties and objectives. This moment of listening is essential for establishing a relationship of trust and laying the foundations for effective follow-up. An initial assessment also helps to determine whether the support is best suited to the individual's needs.
- Drawing up a personalized work plan
Depending on the objectives, the psychologist proposes a support plan that includes appropriate methods and techniques. These may include mind-body techniques.
The plan is open-ended, enabling adjustments to be made as progress is made and new needs are identified.
- Follow-up and adjustments
As the sessions progress, follow-up is provided to assess progress and adjust strategies if necessary. The psychologist is there to listen, but also to help the person explore new solutions. Each session is a safe space where you can express yourself freely, without judgment, and explore your emotions and questions.
- Closing and final assessment
When the objectives set at the start of the support program have been achieved, a final assessment is proposed. This is an opportunity to take stock of progress and identify the tools or resources that need to be integrated into daily life to maintain the benefits of support. This closing phase is important for reinforcing autonomy and preparing the person to continue on his or her own way.
